Carson McDowell has emerged as the leading Northern Irish firm in the 2016 edition of the Chambers UK Guide.

Carson McDowell ranked as a band one firm across more practice areas than any other local firm with all of its 25 partners listed within the guide.  The law firm works with many of Northern Ireland’s top 100 businesses as well as international companies that do business locally.

The Chambers UK guide, which ranks the best law firms and lawyers, covers 50 cities and counties in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.  Published annually, the rankings are based on extensive research and the independent opinions of clients.

In the latest edition, Carson McDowell has been ranked in 22 different practice areas, 15 of which have been given the highest ranking of band one. In total, 28 of the firm’s lawyers have been individually recommended in the guide.

Speaking about the rankings, Managing Partner Michael Johnston said,

“We are delighted to have such a large number of recommendations in the Chambers UK Guide 2016 and would like to thank all of our clients who took time to provide feedback. With 28lawyers ranked as leaders in their fields, it is evident that our teams are made up of the best legal talent.”

Carson McDowell recently announced it had taken over another floor of its city centre office building Murray House to accommodate more than 30 new staff recruited over the past year at Partner, Associate, Solicitor and Trainee level. The company currently employs 133 staff, including 78 lawyers and expected to recruit for a further six jobs before the end of 2015.
