Admitted to both England & Wales and Northern Ireland in 2002. Education: Emma graduated with an Honours law degree from Exeter University and obtained her professional qualifications with Distinction at College of Law, Guildford. Upon obtaining her professional qualifications, Emma trained at Herbert Smith, London where she gained experience working in both the Real Estate and Banking and Finance divisions of the firm. Emma joined the Commercial Property team of Carson McDowell in 2002, became an Associate within the firm in 2007 and a Partner in February 2010. As a member of the Commercial Property team Emma specialises in property matters both in Northern Ireland and England and Wales and is primarily engaged with acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work and property finance within both of these jurisidctions together with site assembly and onward sale of both commercial and residential developments. Key deals: Acquisition and disposal of the Iceland stores portfolio in Northern Ireland; Acquisition of seven leasehold sites for Floors2Go Plc on their entry into Northern Ireland; Advising an all Northern Irish and English property aspects of the acquisition by John Shannon of the Assetco group of companies; Acting on behalf of Herbel Restaurants Limited on the purchase of retails parks within England and Wales and acting on behalf of several high profile Northern Irish developers and investors in the acquisition of sites and developments within England and Wales. |
