Education: Grant graduated in 2004 from Queens University Belfast with an LLB Honours Degree in Law and obtained his professional qualification through the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queens University Belfast.

Grant joined Carson McDowell in 2004 and after completing his apprenticeship with the firm qualified into the Planning and Environmental Law Team of the Commercial Property Department in September 2007.

As a member of the Planning and Environmental Law Team Grant is involved in the instigation and defence of judicial reviews of planning decisions; the preparation of planning and roads agreements; representation of clients at area plan public inquiries and planning appeals; co ordination of major planning applications and the assessment of the lawfulness of environmental impact assessments accompanying major applications.

Currently Grant is representing a number of private developers at the Belfast Metropolitan Area Plan Inquiry, and is assisting Gary McGhee multiple judicial reviews of planning decisions.
