Admitted in Northern Ireland in 1977. Education: Tom was educated at Queen's University, Belfast where he obtained an LLB (Hons) in 1977; subsequently obtaining his professional qualifications at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. Tom joined Carson McDowell in 1988 and became a Partner in 1999. Tom leads the Firm's Banking Department advising on all aspects of security documentation and banking law with instructions received from many of the major lending institutions in Northern Ireland, including Ulster Bank Limited, Bank of Ireland, First Trust Bank, Northern Bank Limited, Anglo Irish Bank Corporation plc. Tom also regularly receives instructions from City of London legal firms and practices in the USA on behalf of both Lenders and Borrowers and liaises with the Firm's Corporate Finance and Real Property Departments in relation to project facilities. |
