Fiona graduated with her Law degree from Queen’s University Belfast in 2008. She qualified as a solicitor in 2010 having attained her professional qualification from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and completed her period of apprenticeship with a Belfast City Centre practice.
Following qualification, Fiona gained experience in a range of areas, before joining Carson McDowell in 2013. She is based in the Private Client department, working closely with head of department Neil Bleakley. Fiona became an Associate solicitor in the firm in May 2016.
Fiona specialises in a full range of private client matters, including the Administration of Estates, Administration of Trusts, drafting Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney and providing advice and assistance in relation to Controllership applications. She particularly enjoys her work in the Private Client team as it brings her into contact with clients on a day to day basis and often allows her to provide support to them through difficult periods in their lives. Fiona also advises clients on residential and agricultural property issues.
Fiona is currently undertaking a STEP diploma in Trusts and Estates which will lead to full membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
