Carson McDowell Duo Take on Four Peaks Challenge to Raise Money for The Wooden Spoon Charity
06 June 2014
David McAleese and Graeme McKee, both from Carson McDowell's Banking Team, will be taking part in the Four Peaks Challenge over the period 3rd-5th July to raise money for the Wooden Spoon charity. Over the course of a 48-hour period they will be scaling four of the highest mountains in the UK and Ireland. Starting at Ben Nevis on the evening of Thursday 3rd, they will then drive through the night to tackle Helvellyn in the Lake District and Snowdon in North Wales on Friday 4th before driving and ferrying overnight to their final ascent of Carantuohil on the morning of Saturday 5th. The target is for climbing and travel between peaks to be completed in less than 48 hours. Dale Guest from Bank of Ireland will also be taking part in the challenge.
David and Graeme have organised a fund-raiser at the Errigle Inn on Thursday 12th June to coincide with the kick-off of the opening match of World Cup 2014 in Brazil they would be delighted to see as many people as possible at the event. Entrance fee is a £10 charitable donation, includes pizza and there will be separate challenges/competitions pre-kick off to whet the appetite and get people ready for the main event. There will also be raffles and other prize opportunities throughout the night.
If you can't attend the event, the team has set up a JustGiving page at the following link: https://www.justgiving.com/teams/4peaks2014. Any donations that you are able to make, to help them reach their fundraising target would be greatly appreciated.
