Nine students from schools around Northern Ireland participated in a Work Inspiration Session at Carson McDowell on 8th March in partnership with Business in the Community.

Rosie Timoney, a solicitor in the Carson McDowell Corporate team who is involved in the sessions said: “Carson McDowell has been involved in this programme for 4 years and over that time we have worked with over 150 students. They participate in a number of different activities such as enhancing their CV’s, interview techniques, organised discussions on legal issues, a workshop on the various pathways to law. They also have the opportunity to lead a negotiation exercise with the students splitting up and playing opposing legal teams.”

The programme aims to influence students and help them decide which career path they hope to pursue. Work Inspiration works with employers, to ensure that students’ vocational interests and career choices are matched to their work placement or inspiration.
