This month marks the end of Carson McDowell’s year-long charity partnership with PIPS Charity. Thank you to all our staff for supporting a number of fundraising events including the Easter raffle and a bake off.
The total amount of £2,894.22 was recently presented to Chris Anderson, Careteam Assistant. Chris said: “PIPS Charity provides support to individuals who are considering, or who have at some point considered, ending their own lives or self-harming. PIPS also provide support for families and friends who have lost someone to suicide. The charity has a small team of staff and a wide range of volunteers supporting those in need while operating a ‘no appointment’ walk-in service. Our organisation is 0% government funded so all money is put towards keeping our doors open to provide life-saving services for those who need it most.”
PIPS endeavours to make the understanding of the signs of suicide, the promotion of self-help and the need for immediate & effective services at the point of crisis, everyone’s business.
