Carson McDowell was pleased to advise the RiverRidge Group in relation to the £10m investment by Business Growth Fund (“BGF”), the largest investment to date by BGF in Northern Ireland.

Brett Ross, CEO of RiverRidge, said: "As a company we have worked tremendously hard over the past five years to allow us to become the market leader in Northern Ireland. It is therefore a significant endorsement of this effort to be able to announce the investment by BGF into our group. We are looking forward to further growing the RiverRidge Group in the coming years and believe we have found partners, in both BGF and Bank of Ireland, who not only are best placed to support this progression, but also understand the strategy thoroughly."

The Carson McDowell team was led by Gerard Armstrong, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department, with assistance from Stuart Anderson (Corporate), Naomi Gaston (Banking), Mary-Kim Doherty (Property), Sarah Cochrane (Employment) and Grant McBurney (Waste and Environmental).

Speaking about the investment, Gerard Armstrong said: “The investment by BGF is a recognition of the hard work put in by Brett and the RiverRidge team over the years and it marks another important and exciting new chapter in the growth and development of RiverRidge. Carson McDowell has been delighted to assist RiverRidge throughout all stages of its journey and looks forward to working with RiverRidge as that journey continues.”

On Carson McDowell’s role as advisors to RiverRidge, Brett said: “The help and support of Gerard and his team over the years and on this investment in particular has been extremely important to us. Carson McDowell understands our business, our industry and how we work. It also understands the importance of meeting challenging timescales and leaves no stone unturned in ensuring that projects and transactions are delivered on time.”
