Emma O'Donnell - Solicitor
Emma joined Carson McDowell in 2016 and is a solicitor in the corporate team.
Emma studied and obtained her undergraduate degree in Law with French from the Queens University, Belfast. During this time Emma spent a year studying French law at Jean Moulin University Lyon III in Lyon, France where she obtained her Diplôme d'Etudes Universitaires Françaises.
Emma qualified as a solicitor in 2012, having studied at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies where she obtained a postgraduate diploma with commendation in Professional Legal Studies.
Having trained in private practice, Emma worked as an in-house lawyer in Allen & Overy in Belfast before joining Carson McDowell.
As part of the firm’s corporate department, she advises on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, commercial contracts, and corporate governance issues across a variety of business sectors as well as drafting key and ancillary corporate documents to assist companies comply with their legal obligations. Emma also advises on warranty and indemnity insurance in corporate transactions.
Emma is a member of both the Northern Ireland Young Solicitors Association and the European Young Bar Association.
Emma also acts as mentor to Carson McDowell’s trainee solicitors who are completing their corporate seat.
