Shane McVeigh - Associate
Admitted as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2011, Shane graduated with a 2:1 honours degree from Trinity College, Dublin and obtained his professional qualifications through the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queen's University, Belfast. Shane trained as an apprentice solicitor with McManus Kearney and joined the Litigation team at Carson McDowell as an assistant solicitor in 2011.
Shane primarily deals with all manner of insolvency litigation both personal and corporate and acting for creditors and debtors. Shane manages a significant portfolio acting for lenders, landlords, manufacturers and service providers pursuing actions to recover losses and associated enforcement actions, including enforcement of security and recovery of leased assets. Shane advises both private and public sector clients on various types of commercial disputes and carries out the bulk of his work in the County Court and High Court. Shane also carries out a number of private prosecutions on behalf of quasi-governmental bodies.
