Victoria O'Hara - Senior Associate
Victoria graduated with a 2:1 (LLB honours) degree in Law from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2001 and subsequently obtained her professional qualifications from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in Belfast obtaining a Certificate of Professional Legal Studies in 2003.
Upon qualification Victoria worked in a leading Belfast firm, where she gained experience in all aspects of real estate in particular specialising in landlord and tenant work. Victoria has a great deal of experience in the portfolio management of a number of shopping centres, business and retail parks throughout Northern Ireland. She has also acted for a number of major UK retailers in the negotiation of commercial leases and been involved in the property aspects of major corporate transactions.
Victoria joined Carson McDowell's real estate team as an associate in September 2010 and will continue to specialise in landlord and tenant work together with acquisitions and disposals of commercial property. She is accomplished in the negotiation of all tenancy documentation and on advising in respect of various title issues. Due to her adept and proficient command of the Business Tenancies (Northern Ireland) 1996 Order, Victoria regularly provides advice to clients on all aspects of the legislation including the preparation and service of notices under the order, together with representing clients at the Lands Tribunal of Northern Ireland.
Victoria is a committee member of the Northern Ireland Commercial Property Lawyers’ Association (NICPLA).
